Still bullying the mayor on Twitter.

Opinions on: Books, history, movies, equity, Ottawa, art. Trying to find a craft that sticks.

I need the #MetGala to result in a movement of beautiful and bold men's wear and tailored suits. This is the best I've ever seen menswear and we need this momentum, colour and creativity on red carpets and on the street.

Creating new national parks and marine spaces can only be done if Indigenous communities have ownership of how these spaces are chosen, maintained and preserved. Our country's preservation policies need to be Indigenous led to be successful.
My plan to protect our nature and waters will draw on the wisdom of Indigenous traditions, the power of modern technology, and the strength of a united Canada.

This is such a devastating book and a hard read. I didn't know much about the dust bowl but it's even more horrifying than I imagined. I picked this up before I started the Grapes of Wrath for a little historical context and I haven't been able to put it down.

SPEAKING OF GARDENS

yall better have library cards. Some (most!!) public library systems have seed libraries and libraries of things where you can borrow things you may not need to own.

Also libraries are revolutionary and librarians have always been on the front lines

In between watching all of the 2025 Oscar noms, I'm a tad over half way through this massive book, and it's easily going to occupy a space in my top 2025 reads.

I would have loved to see more density in this area and a larger number of "affordable" housing (that's actually affordable). These caps seem quite low, especially on the edges.
