No idea who you’d be seeing, since my issue was pretty clearly a csf leak and yours isn’t, but hopefully representative of the department as a whole! (Well, actually, hoping the guy you see tomorrow gets you to see the person at Hopkins who can actually help, but backup hopes can’t hurt lol)

Caveat that I don't have the kind of complex medical history you do, so can't say for sure, but none of them struck me as "well I don't believe in gravity" kinds of doctors! And they were generally good about wearing masks when I asked

Well Dr Deshmukh was my neurosurgeon, and Dr Sayah did the CT with LP to find the leak, and they were both great, as were all the nurses in the neuro ICU post-surgery - very much do not recommend the whole csf leak experience lol but I really lucked out with my care team

omg the more I hear about this the more grateful I am that my PCP was able to order my MRI and send me directly to the csf leak specialists at Georgetown last year! I think I got all the way through surgery (and maybe recovery) in less time than it's taken you to get a Neuro appt 😡

Ooh! I mean I probably threw away all my wrappers for most of my floss already but this would be super useful for any I still have!

Yeah I remember that section of class being like "here's a list of 5-6 things and if they all point one way you can be about 75% sure of the sex of the skeleton" lol

iirc from my long ago forensic archaeology class there's few other features you can look at, too (mostly in the skull I think) but definitely something that is iffy with adults and nigh impossible with infants

There used to be a dim sum restaurant in Boston up a few floors in s building overlooking the Chinatown gate - they had the best bbq pork buns (char siu bao) and none of the ones I’ve had since have quite lived to to theirs
