Why is your profile based in portugal?

A few hundred thousand isnt enough. But its a start.

We need more people to strike and nit just the people who can "afford to"...
January 30, 2026 at 12:31 PM
Your right. And Kamala still lost. I have to imagine a more liberal candidate could have won.

It may have been her Gaza stance. It may have been electiom fraud. Maybe a little bit of both.

She wasnt appealing enough to beat Trump. You can say everyone is stupid, but she still couldn't beat him.
January 30, 2026 at 5:22 AM
The problem is more people joined the republicans. Kamala wasnt popular enough.

We can blame the voters or we can say, a candidate who was selected without a primary, failed to win the popular vote.
January 30, 2026 at 5:12 AM
I have a source that says 46% of voters support abolishing ICE. Here for you:
January 30, 2026 at 4:50 AM
This is progress. I'm glad of this. This isn't what I'm here discussing however.

I'm discussing that while doing this. They should be making clear to voters, they intend to work toward abolishing ICE. I'm afraid they'll lose midterm seats if they don't because it's a popular position of dem voters.
January 30, 2026 at 4:48 AM
But I want to elect tons of Anti-ICE democrats this year. That IS the goal. Thats how we make progress to Abolishing ICE.

We don't make progress toward that by electing democrats who support ICE.
January 30, 2026 at 4:39 AM
uh... okay your NOT right about that? Geez can't please you huh?
January 30, 2026 at 4:36 AM
I voted for Kamala despite not liking her. I voted for Biden, and Clinton too. I didn't like either of them either. I donated to Kamala and Biden too.

But I did all this democratic voting and donating and ICE is killing people all the same.

People like me voted for Kamala. She still lost.
January 30, 2026 at 4:35 AM
I'm not going to praise someone for doing something I think is wrong. They don't just get my support for being the only opposition. They get my support by sharing my beliefs.

I will still vote for whoever is on the dem ticket this nov. But we're gonna lose anyway at this rate.
January 30, 2026 at 4:33 AM
Well you're right about that. Democrats have stayed right where they were when I was a kid. The republicans have moved further right. Overall this country has moved further right. And democrats are trying to win these further and further right republicans over, but losing the left in doing so.
January 30, 2026 at 4:32 AM
I can do two things.

I can bitch and moan and ALSO work to get supermajorities in congress.

I'm bitching and moaning, because I think THIS WILL LOSE democrats seats in the midterms.
January 30, 2026 at 4:28 AM
State elections and midterms are THIS YEAR. This is an important discussion.

If 80% of Harris voters oppose ICE and 12% support it, while 80% of Trump voters support ICE and 15% opposes it. I think it's pretty clear what stance the democrats should take!
January 30, 2026 at 4:26 AM
I won't be sitting out any election, and never have. But if the democrat and the republican both support ICE then I can't vote for either of them.

If the democrat opposed ICE i would vote for them.

The democrats are taking conservative positions and it's hurting their voter turnout.
January 30, 2026 at 4:24 AM
I voted for Kamala. I voted for Biden. I voted for Clinton.

I can't keep supporting democrats who seem more and more conservative year after year while ignoring liberal values.

Abolishing ICE is important to me as voter. If they want my vote, they need to have that as part of the platform.
January 30, 2026 at 4:20 AM
Well I voted and donated to Harris. I very much wanted to see her as our President.

I will still vote for whoever opposes trump and these fascists, but I can't support people who would break bread with them.
January 30, 2026 at 4:18 AM
It's actually 46% and it's larger than the 43% (whom I assume are largely republicans) oppose abolishing ICE.

Regardless, i think this poll is very telling, and if i could find a recent poll on Schumer support I would. Until I do, I think it's fair to say this move is losing him support and voters.
January 30, 2026 at 4:15 AM
Well, alright. I only wanted to speak up for who I feel is a large segment of americans. Have a good night I guess.
January 30, 2026 at 4:12 AM
These other leaders have conservatives in their districts. Mamdani's mayoral races wasn't exactly a landslide.

That same poll I referenced earlier said 80% of Kamala voters oppose ICE. Only 12% of her voters oppose abolishing ICE. Is he trying to win 12% at the cost of 80%?
January 30, 2026 at 4:11 AM
Well, then I think they'll keep losing voters and supporters if this is what his job entails.
January 30, 2026 at 4:04 AM
Well, either Schumer loses the people who want ICE abolished, or he MIGHT gain the people who support ICE.

I won't support a politician who would rather work with the ladder half over the former. I want ICE abolished. He's lost my support. He's lost a lot of support from a lot of voters
