It's a shame that Heater's lead is probably insurmountable by now - but you were probably never going to be able to overcome popular policies such as "free catnip for everyone".

But it might be worth adding additional text to clarify that this is only going to suppress Bluesky's own built-in functionality?
Non-technical users may not be aware of how trivial it would be for someone to make a bot crawl for new posts... #FalseSenseOfSafety
