Winter's here, so be on the lookout for "snirt" (snow dirt)!

AKA "brown snow", AKA "brown sugar", we mean that no good mix of snow, dirt, sand, and/or salt that is loose and slushy and can cover icy patches underneath.

It can be dangerous.

Have fun but be vigilant. Enjoy the adventure!

When Darin Kinniewess's family informed us that a second "spirit bike" had been removed from his memorial site, we decided to try something else.

We hope this small plaque will be a lasting placeholder for the community to honour him and for others to reflect on the ongoing need for safer streets.

We were honoured to be with Darin Kinniewess' family and friends for the 2nd Annual Bike/Walk to remember him.

It was a good reminder that Darin touched a lot of people, and that our community is incredibly diverse and filled with those who care about others.

Thanks to Tyrone for organizing.
