Kim Kitsuragi from Disco Elysium. Gotta respect him for helping me (Harry) keep my shit together enough to finish the game. It was nice to have one competent person in that game, plus he was respectful about my choices to spend time learning about being gay and Marxism instead of solving the case.

Another iconic redemption arc/character shift- Roy Kent. Saying he has a redemption arc is a little extreme, but comparing his angry, hurt, standoff-ish self in S1 to him becoming a caring, insightful and empathetic person in the last season feels like comparing two different people.

Zuko from ATLA. I love, love, LOVE a good redemption arc, and Zuko definitely has one of my all time favorites. We love personal growth, breaking away from toxic family, and finding found family.

Fang from Goodbye Volcano High. Another character who probably changes a lot depending in the choices you make, but I love them. A nonbinary character going through their final year of high school knowing a meteor is getting closer and more likely to hit Earth. An absolutely gutwrenching game.

This one is a bit of a deep cut, but I'm obsessed with Zima from the Love Death and Robots episode "Zima Blue." Won't go super into why because it's a short episode and easy to spoil, but I'll just say his back story and final art piece had me feeling so emotional.

Joel from The Last of Us. I'm an absolute sucker for the found family trope in any form, but man does The Last of Us do it so well. Watching how Joel changes over the course of the game is a (heartbreaking) treat.

Moriarty from BBC Sherlock. I have a LOT if mixed feelings about this show, but two things are certain- 1. He was the best character in this show by far and 2. The seasons without him just didn't hit the same at all. Andrew Scott is such an amazing actor.

A complete departure from all the other characters I've listed but I LOVE Devil Dinosaur, specifically from the animated show. He's like a golden retriever in the body of a dinosaur and he's so good and cute 🥺 I love pretty much every character on Moon Girl but Devil is my fave for sure.

If you know me you'll know my favorite book of all time is The Picture of Dorian Gray and that I love Lord Henry. I really love characters that are The Worst but also really interesting and he definitely fits that 100%.
