Fun tidbit: The concept artist for the Hydra was specifically told to design it with "It looks like it can and will swallow you whole" in mind for the basis of its design, and boy did they succeed huh
The hydra in Dragon's Dogma also does a toss and catch attack, with a wriggling bulge that slowly moves down its neck in stages with audible gulp sounds. Its not an instant-death though, it takes around two minutes to slide into its belly and only then do you get the game over!
