THINGS I WISH WOULD STOP BUT PROBABLY WON’T Any essay with a title that starts with “The Death of…” The ongoing blurring of the lines between entertainment and politics. Political influencers. Debate-as-spectacle. Tumblr-style media consumption of television. You do not personally know the characters on your screen. Get a grip. People saying “gay guy.” I am not your weird little Pomeranian. “Hope this helps.” No you don’t! People making videos where they sit in full view of the camera and nod along to some other video playing behind them. All of it. Everything. You know, of course, what I’m referring to.
