There's only like one kemono suit maker in NA (Vancouver actually) and they charge bonkers prices, so it's pretty much guaranteed one would have to shop overseas.

Probably would've had a lot more reception than the western style if it picked up in popularity sooner tho

Kemono! I much prefer those as well. Shame they're not too popular outside of Asia.

Western style isn't much of my thing for reasons you stated, but I'm happy kemono is picking up traction these days.
