Great observation. Winning on counters vs winning with 80 possession is completely different ball game.( as an #lfc fan, i see this happen a lot this season 😞)

Nothing comes close to moving from programming mainframes to Unix based systems. Productivity improvements are not comparable to anything else discussed here ( showing my age😀, but remember i had gone through all the experiences you listed)

It’s a sad story. Who would ever pick Madrid’s (to some extent United) job over any top 5 league job. I don’t think pay is that different. If you are young and ambitious, there are 10 other jobs more attractive than RM.

i only watched the second half, they played really well. They would have scored with any one of the reg strikers. It is a step forward.

This is really good article and kind of sad. Modi and his government will only act if western media makes fun of them or shows disgust at this situation. There is no internal advocacy group that can move Modi’s administration, imo.

Leagues that have no relegation have now owner incentives to improve. If the teams share the TV revenues irrespective of their standing , there will be no improvement. If you give the top pick the worst team, we deserve a bad product.
