Latest Manatee Update from Blue Spring State Park!

The river temp was 63F (17.2C). The park counted 626 manatees. We did not get a count due to the mist on the water. We saw adoptees Howie, Whiskers, Lily, Gator, Rocket, Phyllis, Ester and Floyd.

Latest Manatee Update from Blue Spring State Park!
Some mist was coming off the spring run which made counting and identification challenging, but we managed to count 276 manatees. The river temperature was 64.8F (18.2C). Adoptees Nick, Una, Gator (pictured here), Lily, and Howie made roll call.

The river temp was slightly down to 65.8F (18.8C) but the count dropped to 193. The adoptees in today were Una and Nick.

The river temp was down to 66.6F(19.2C) and the manatee count was up to 243. The adoptees in were Una, Lily and Annie.

Latest Manatee Update from Blue Spring! The cold front moved in with the air temp dropping quite a bit, but the river temp was still up to 68F (20C). We counted 160 manatees. No adoptees were in today, but here is a picture of adoptee Floyd from last week!

The river temp was 65.5F (18.6C). 99 manatees made roll call. None were Save the Manatee Club adoptees. However, Gator was caught on the webcam yesterday later in the day and here is a picture of adoptee Margarito who we saw the the other day!

The river temp continued up today. It was 63.5F (17.5C). The manatee roll call found 219 manatees. The adoptees present were Annie, Doc, Una, and Gator.

The river temp was 62.2F (16.8C). It had gone up, so the manatee count went down to 382. Our Save the Manatee Club adoptees in were Doc, Howie, Margarito (pic here), Lily, Phillip, Flash, Phyllis, Brutus, Gator, Annie, and Whiskers.

Latest Manatee Update from Blue Spring! The air warmed up a bit. We counted 550 manatees today with a river temperature of 60.8F (16C). The adoptees seen today were Moo Shoo (pictured here), Gator, Aqua, Annie with calf, Floyd, Flash, Whiskers, Phyllis, Philip and Rocket.

Latest Manatee Update from Blue Spring! The river temp this morning dropped down to 62.1CF (16.7C) and we counted a whooping 645 manatees. The adoptees we did see (with many more most likely hiding in bigger groups) were Merlin, Phyllis, Deep Dent, Gator, Flash, Margarito & Whiskers.

Latest Manatee Update from Blue Spring State Park!
The air temperature dropped significantly overnight, but the river takes much longer to cool. The river temperature this morning was 66.7F (19.3C) and the manatee count jumped to 169. The only adoptees in today were Flash and Annie with her calf.
