Sonic's affinity for chili dogs originates from Uncle Chuck. However, Sonic's fondness for chili dogs didn't show in mainline Sonic until 2008's Sonic Unleashed. It's not too late to introduce Uncle Chuck into the mainline lore as the one who introduced Sonic to his fav food 🌭💨
