Here are some W.I.P shots when giving Fedora's model fur. The original mesh was taken from Furry VNE. a furry character creator available to download on their patreon.
This was the first experimentation with fur materials, I was originally attempting to go for something stylistic, but it didn't quite look the best... This was the first attempt of actual fur particles on the model. The problem was I was using the old fur particle system of blender, which seems to have aged poorly over the last few versions of blender... I finally changed the fur particles over to a geometry node set up, the material is a bit shiny, and notice how parts of the fur appear patchy. That's due to attempting to use a vertex group of one of the sliders within the "Trim hair" geometry node I gathered from a blender tutorial... This is a more refined, and polished render. I kept working on the geo-nodes fur set up, along with making, and compiling the materials. I don't know how or why, but I'm actually proud of this model.

I was able to do the thumbnail for it, had a lot of fun with making the render surprisingly.
This was a screen cap from the solid view with each material set to "Random" to better see all the objects within the scene. All the models aside from the characters were from poly haven, their addon carried this scene BIG TIME!... This was one of the first renders, I had to re-render it as I forgot to delete a potted plant. You can see it...Bₑₜ𝓌ₑₑₙ ₕᵢₛ ₜₕᵢ𝓰ₕₛ... This was the final render, though I was unsatisfied with how flat the models look, so I spent basically all day getting fur shaders, and textures assigned... This is the final render, I'll be honest the fur is rough, but it's a start. I also fixed the lighting from the HDRI. The lighting was meant to be a lot cooler, but I missed that in the first few renders.

Honestly "It's something I made, where's my energy I once had for it?" And it doesn't help when the models you made aren't optimized, and tank the framerate to 8 frames a second Dx

Revised tail draft front orthographic. Revised tail draft back orthographic. Tail retopology in progress. The reason for retoplogizing it over just using the beizer curves is to assist in optimization, and weight painting during the rigging stage.
