I did read an article about Platner that really called into question his "working man" persona, which really started me questioning his motivations. Like I said, I get Fetterman vibes off this guy like crazy. And his tattoo excuses sound hollow.

That makes me nervous. So when I said I was looking to dispel my unease about him, it wasn't that I was looking for koolaid to make it all ok. What I'd like to see is an honest discussion that addresses his shortcomings as a candidate and possible Senator. I have yet to see one.

Fair enough. But this was kind of my point: I don't think I've seen more than one or two posts from actual Mainers that attempt to defend Platner's tattoos or other personal history inconsistencies. Most of the stuff I see is like this Substack, which ignores all that in favor of his own narrative.
