I feel called out. But still some of my favorite comics from the 90s, spider-man with the punisher (ASM 330), spider-man on Venom (my favorite venom btw) island (ASM 347), “cyborg” spider-man (SM 21). All still just as great today.

Black and white high contrast is my favorite. Might I recommend the great @chrissamnee.bsky.social. His black and white ink sketches look so effortless and perfect.

As many artists, I wish I was faster. I finally found the motivation, & after 3 days (& 2 Jurassic Park movies) I’m only this far. Even with a thumbnail sketch to guide me, I still struggle drawing the vision in my head. Two attempts at structuring Rumi and Zoey, I think I finally have the forms.

I don’t expect I’ll remove any characters, but these likely won’t get expanded upon in favor of my more desirable characters. Who knows, maybe next year people will give these ones more attention. Only time will tell.
