Sounds like the lighter sexual of the excellent movie "Neptune Frost"

Dragging on community colleges is pretty snotty in its own right.

We've become an "As seen on social media" country. Just because someone's mastered social media does not mean they're up for mastering everything else.

Today's American movies. I watch mostly movies from the rest of the world because of Hollywood's predictability. I'll apologize for my snobbishness when they earn it.

Bari Weiss just put the last stake in that shit.

As a Berkeley grad, I'm always amazed at how many people assume the campus is a monolith.

Eh, you do a kick butt job of posting great pictures. Stick to what you know best.

Dem voters are SO fearful. In the decades I’ve canvassed in primaries, I’ve been barraged by “I like x, but I’m worried they can’t beat candidate z” comments. Dems play act like they’re fucking Nostradamus and vote hfor candidates they’re so so on, then acting shocked when voters are so so on D’s.

I can’t access replays anymore, which makes it hard given I’m 6 hours away. I’m going to have to up my tech game.

Made for a dim bulb. (Sorry!)

I haven’t tested a VPN, but the app wasn’t disabled in other countries until earlier this year. Now I pay for a BBC subscription, which I would be more okay with if it wasn’t for limited access.

Icing does help a lot, per my MD mom. That’s not advice, so much as hope for the best.

An oldie but a goodie

That's pretty embarrassing, when people argue that middle school math is too onerous.

You mean Zohran Mamdani? How about that for an over-performance?

It looks like if a Zaha Hadhid project got parasites. I guess that’s how we know it represents the future instead of genocide.

Fuck any Dem leader who wouldn't stand up for trans rights. We have choices.

Or inequality. God forbid they hurt billionaire's feelings.

I don't want to hear from another white male Dem pol who only stands up for marginalized people when the polling validates it. James Carville and Gavin Newsom stand down; Tim Walz and JB Pritzker can stand up.

The worst is when I walk into a room, and the dog stares at me wondering what I'm going to do next, and I too stand there wondering what I was going to do next.

That's ableist and judgmental. Dyslexics have a hard time with directions, but it doesn't make them bad drivers.

"Surprisingly difficult to get lots of it" presumably means it is...surprisingly difficult to get lots of it. It is not.

My mother went to Chapel Hill in 1969 specifically to get away from her home in Fuquay-Varina. FV was then where UNC CH frats and sororities would take pledges for hazing. I’m not sure if that’s what he’s referring to, but it’s all of a piece.

It’s a good approximation of what eating out looked like when I was an anorexic teenager.
