Is it worth trying to normalize the numbers to account for new counters coming online contributing to the bump in numbers?

Yeah I think where we still don't want to divert emergency vehicles this is mainly there as a deterrent.
December 14, 2025 at 1:25 AM
My visit to the diverter was complete with an intoxicated neighbour having a moment in the new infrastructure upset that this will make things worse for drivers. I tried to explain how more things like this will encourage more people on bikes and that's good for drivers but was not successful.

@americanfietser.bsky.social, @'ing you here in-case this didn't make it into your feed. DM me if your interested or curious. There's a small market here locally for UA stuff, our FB marketplace ad attempts have yet to be successful.

We should have set up a phone stand like they have at the national parks so we could put together a time lapse of it in the end.

9:20 am, getting a little more set up.

Yesterday at Sackville I just missed the bike light (as you might since if you blink it's already gone) so I hopped off and walked across as a pedestrian. Maybe this is how they are designing this to work. The person that designed this signal must have never seen a bike before.

Oh oops, scratch that, I was thinking of the Jin ramen.

They changed their look.

My biggest criticism for this setup was the noise the seat made banging around when empty.
December 11, 2025 at 1:51 AM
I still have the adapter and seat we used in the basement, we were trying to sell the two $150 (CAD).

This would seem to be the pattern.
December 10, 2025 at 10:34 PM
We used the Yepp Mini Adapter. You lose a bit of cargo capacity but with some good sized panniers on that back it's not so bad.
December 10, 2025 at 2:18 PM
If only it was that easy. You then have to account for them not getting back to you right away and then asking you to go check if it has been clear (spoilers not likely). So it's a multi-day multi-email process where they essentially gas light you into believing it will be addressed.

It was icy. Hopefully the windchill won't be so bad tomorrow.

Maybe the height standard was set in the days of the penny-farthing.

Oh those bricks just keep one another in place with sand in between them. Pretty easy to lift one or two straight up if you bolt a giant handle to them.

He might have just found the parenting glitch.

Those cargo line motors are considered 250 watt motors as that's their rating for continuous output. The 750 is just the peak rating.
November 2, 2025 at 11:19 AM
I think it's important that the 500 watts should be referencing the maximum continuous power output of the motor. For example the Bosch Cargo Line motors are rated for 250 watts of continuous power output but can also output 600 to 750 watts of peak power when need like when climbing steep hills.
