AWS Lambda now supports 1MB payload size for async invocations. Not free though the extra size beyond 256KB is charged as 1 request / 64KB chunk.

Previously scheduled scaling was the way to pre-provision tasks in anticipation of spike. Now ECS introduces predictive scaling. Catch is it does not Scale-in aws.amazon.com/blogs/contai...
