The nozzle of my harder and steenbeck airbrush sure resembles a evil building in a popular fantasy movie. 🤭

MG Rick Dom. Nearly completed! Should I do a bit of weathering, or keep it clean? #gunpla #gundam #scalemodel

This Disk Hound thing from an old anime called Crusher Joe. Not a very popular movie, but it had some really interesting model kits. #anime #gunpla #diorama #scalemodel

Just cleaned, dusted and installed new LED lighting in my display cabinets! It looks so much better now. #gunpla

Some recent work on a MG Rick Dom kit. I tried something experimental this time by dabbing on artists oil paint over acrylic I had airbrushed. I’m trying to get a really nasty, mottled texture.

I feel like I kind of did that, but the oils take a very long time to properly dry. #gunpla

My daily commute is a long one. But days like this make it worth it.

Been working on this Tissot SeaStar from the 70s. I’ve been wanting a good Tissot but I don’t wanna spend a lot of money on one. This was a good score on eBay and seems to be like one of their last original designs before they got bought out.

Some nice vintage watch pickups from
The flea market this weekend! So much fun finding them.

The Hamilton and Gruen both tick. The other two need repairs.

Anyone know if Gruen used real diamonds on the face?

Just got this on Amazon and it’s seriously incredible for under ten dollars. I didn’t have high hopes, but sometimes Chinese made products are not only cheap but blow anything else out of the water. This writes as good as some of my expensive ones.

My collection of fountain pens. They sure are satisfying to write with and more than a bit addictive. Had a few lemons. Mostly I like the all metal ones that feel solid and a bit weighty, with a broad or stub tip.

Some more macros of the movement of this Waltham, I think they turned out good.

It was dirty inside, with lots of dried grease and a minor bit of rust. Not too bad all in all for 80 years old.

I’ve since cleaned the whole thing and it looks almost like new.

My sister sent me this mid 1940s Waltham watch to repair. The strap was GROSS. Crusted over with decades of crystallized old man sweat. 🙈

Waltham was a big player in American watchmaking in the late 1800s but eventually the Swiss outdid them.

This Eterna Matic I just restored. Mid 1950s. Was in very good shape, a lovely find on eBay for not a lot of money. It’s ticking quite well for its age and keeping accurate and precise time.

I was feeling the summery blue strap for it and I just love how it wears.
