Additionally if you *do* want Led's, depending on the car, you may need a whole housing unit, and *possibly* a power converter to lower the voltage to a safe level to not explode the led's.

This is just a personal thing, but, I'd advise against going to LED's, I'd suggest something less intense on the eyes if possible. While, yes, it may look great for you to see, LED's can be dangerous to oncoming traffic. Imagine them like high-beams that can't be turned off.
