It would definitely make sense to move to a formation that suited both Frimpong and Wirtz at Leverkusen. Maybe that was the plan in the summer but the Guehi move falling through scuppered it?

Messing about until the last moment on a fee for Guehi was just asking for trouble. Kerkez was a great signing but i was never sold on Frimpong in a 4-4-3 formation. We desperately needed a DM as cover for Gravenberch but didn’t even enter the market for one. Did we really need Isak and Ekitike?

Agree also Ekitike and Isak are percentage players. They thrive of quick balls into the box. Give them service and they will score goals. It doesn’t have to be the perfect assist just get it i to the box with pace on the ball.
