At 11 am tomorrow the last remaining VDOT SSP (safety service patrol) radios will be manually updated across the state making the Virginia “STARS” radio system the first statewide and largest fully encrypted radio system in the United States.

Nearly 8,000 people have signed our petition asking for the Virginia State Police to end the encryption of their routine communications. The state of Virginia has taken an unprecedented step and encrypted all radio communications across the state.

Earlier Helicopter Response for arson/ malicious wounding. A woman in Max Meadows, VA was critically injured after being doused with Gasoline and set on fire. A manhunt is reportedly underway.
