Dad with a 3D printer. I thought I would print stuff for myself and I’ve found more joy in making and printing things for my daughter and wife. I exist in Washington state.

I might not be the fastest whistle 3D printer out there but I am happy to be printing 33 whistles every 3hr 15min. I discovered that printing overnight can be an issue due to cold air rolling in off the window behind my printer. Whoops.
Three rows of 11 flat bitonal whistles. The whistles are navy blue with the WAISN phone number embedded in them in yellow. Five rows of 11 flat bitonal whistles; 55 total. The rear most row has most of the whistles missing due to print issues. The front two rows of whistles the embedded phone number is not readable or missing.

Made some final adjustments to make the number for Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network (WAISN) easier to read. Printing off my first large batch tonight. Predicted time is 5 hours 40 minutes and 142.5G of filament for 55 whistles.

Trying to embed/deboss the state number for WAISN has been harder than I expected. 43mm across isn’t a lot of space. May have to swap the .4mm nozzle out of the 3D printer for the .2mm nozzle which is slower but would produce clearer results.

Been working on printing an appropriately scaled Union Dropship for a tabletop game. This is turning out to be much harder to print than I expected.

The LAMs are off to rehab, automotive paint is hard to remove; especially after it has been on for 20+ years. :(

Work in progress for my toddler. I probably should have used a color other than black. Getting the relief on the coin to visually appear when printed took a bit more trying than I thought it would initially. Scrapped a few trial designs in Fusion360.

Finished assembling this today. It is an ice cream pint holder.Very happy with how the print came out! Shoutout to LeHa-Design for an amazing model.
