Was skeptical of AI coding after trying Copilot once.

Forced myself to use Cursor for 2 hours on real work. Completely changed my mind.

Good prompting is its own craft. Now I love these tools but have no clue what my job looks like in 5 years.

Server Components & Server Actions make the user and the developer experience better. A bit early to say they’ll change the way we build web apps on the long term, but I would take that bet!

📝 My new blog post about React and @nextjs.org! https://scastiel.dev/server-components-actions-react-nextjs
Intro to React Server Components and Actions with Next.js
React is living something these days. Although it was created as a client UI library, it can now be used to generate almost everything from the server. And we get a lot from this change, especially wh...

Would you like to learn React and Next.js?

I’m designing a workshop to help developers who know HTML, CSS and JavaScript climb the next step and build their first full-stack application with the most popular framework today.

I’m drafting a workshop to help beginners learn React and @nextjs.org, and I couldn’t agree more with
the point @shadcn.com made on Twitter:

“An interesting side effect of RSC is that React is now actually easier to teach/learn.”

What would you like @vercel.com to announce for the rest of this Vercel Ship week?

I’ll start: an authentication solution, aggregating OAuth providers + username/password + password-less, compatible with Auth.js 🤞

What if @bsky.app was nice not *in spite* but *because* of the invite model, and because invites are rare?

To be here, you have to really want it, and convince someone you are worth an invite… Could it be why people are so nice here?

Do you use TypeScript?
If you’ve never tried Zod to supercharge your code, you’re missing something! And you can use it for more than validating user input 😉
Using Zod & TypeScript for more than user input validation
If you have ever created an API or a form accepting user input, you know what data validation is, and how tedious it can be. Fortunately, libraries can help us, such as Yup or Zod. But recently, I realized that these libraries allow patterns that go much farther than input validation. In this post, I’ll show you why I now use them in most of my TypeScript projects.
