While walking through a French market last spring, I snapped a photo of a pile of apples that caught the morning light. That became the reference photo for this painting, which I titled “Dappled Apples.”

It’s maybe the painting from 2024 that I’m most proud of. #BlueSkyArtShow #light #painting

Some friends from a painting retreat I did last year organized a painting challenge, and the reference photo made me think of the poem “The Orange” by Wendy Cope. I did the painting in my sketchbook so I could overlay the poem on top.

Reading this poem again was a balm after this hell of a week. 🍊

Sometimes when I post my art online I feel like a little kid running to their parents like “look what I made!!”

I posted some musings on my art journey over on Substack, if anyone is interested in learning a lil more about me and reading some thoughts on getting to know oneself better 🖤🖤

Every meeting I’ve had this week has begun with a collective deep sigh, if that’s any indication of how people are feeling

I’ve been working with polymer clay for about a year and a half, mostly making jewelry (which I love). I’d love to work on sculpting other things - I did these ornaments around the holidays and really enjoyed working a bit bigger. I think the worm is my fave 🪱

The great thing about starting on a new platform is that I have so much art that I have never shared here so I shall not want for content for quite some time

How it feels to fall into the digital ether, and suddenly find a companion from a previous life.

Aka, let’s reconnect Instagram artists! #digitalresistance #artist #watercolor #reincarnation

Hi blue sky! I’m an artist who vacillates wildly across mediums, but I started with acrylic painting and it will always be near and dear to my heart. Here are a few of my recent paintings. If you’re an artist, show me some of your recent work!
