sudo chown -R www-data:www-data /var/www/html

and

sudo chmod -R 755 /var/www/html

@enableonlooker.bsky.social I did something similar. I installed the necessary components, then downloaded and extracted WordPress into my web root directory. Did you create a dedicated virtual host for your site?
