IMO, it's a little more complex than that. Something about a cult not being able to accept that they're truly the bad guys, thus it turns into changing the rules of what's bad and what's good.

Imo it comes down to donors. Too many officials have said enough or too little since the last election for us to think that they have our best interests in mind. Strongly worded letters don't do shit, and they know that. Slogans aren't doing shit, but they know that. They're scared or in on it.

I'm not trying to be contrary, but is there something in any CBP/DHS charters or laws that would be catastrophic if they're just abolished or dissolved? Or is this likely due to donors tugging the money leash on their "Democrat" politicians?
