It’s something I’ve noticed a *lot* more with the 25-and-lower TTRPG crowds, moreso than I dealt with in people when I was that age. Honestly, my age and up were/are more… conflict-prone among friends. Regardless of that though, I like the idea of crutches to get new GMs started.

The hobby is just filled with people who are terrified of social conflict (especially younger generations), and beat themselves up overtly much. While I’m not here to encourage that behavior, it’s such a small thing to add to give those types of people a crutch and platform to build confidence.

The only thing I’ve made sure to add is something to set expectations: the GM is encouraged to rule against you in cases where an outcome is unclear. I’ve found it (annoyingly) important to give new GMs something to fall back on for *themselves* to not feel bad.
