modaportugal | europe’s next generation of designers
Spotlighting craftsmanship, sustainability, and technology in fashion, ModaPortugal – a strategy powered by the Textile Intelligence Centre in Portugal, in partnership with the National Association of Clothing and Apparel Industries – brought together young designers from across Europe to compete in its annual European Young Designers Competition. Hosted earlier this month at Palácio da Polsa in Porto, the event saw 18 designers from Aalto University in Finland, Institut Français de la Mode, Polimoda in Italy, ESAD, the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lisbon, Modatex in Portugal, London College of Fashion, and HEAD Genève present their collections to an international jury, competing for the overall prize as well as country awards. Vicente Aycaguer from the Institut Français de la Mode received both the Best Collection Award and the France Prize for his collection, ‘Susanna Valenti’. Sílvia da Torre, a graduate from Modatex Porto, won the Portugal Prize for ‘Sacred’. Tilda Wallius’s ‘Finders Keepers’ collection – developed as her final bachelor’s project at Aalto University – earned the Finland Prize. Nansen Capici from Polimoda was awarded the Italy Prize for the menswear collection ‘Silenzio Bianco’. Calum Holmes, a graduate from London College of Fashion, took home the UK Prize for... ferragamo | the pre-autumn 2026 collection
If the ocean connects us all, as Maximilian Davis suggests, then the Ferragamo woman is currently crossing the Atlantic in considerable style. For Pre-Autumn 2026, the designer has looked past the usual yacht club clichés to chart a far more interesting course. He fuses the brand’s deep Hollywood roots with his own Caribbean heritage and the result is a wardrobe we can’t get enough of. This is 1920s glamour, but it has been left out in the salt air. Davis has dismantled the rigid rules of maritime dressing, raiding the archives for stripes that now slash across silk scarf dresses with a liquid flow. The silhouettes have completely uncurled; the sharp lines of the past have given way to effortless drop-waists, high-waisted sailor trousers and low-slung pencil skirts. Davis is obsessing over the mechanics of sailing this season: “That idea of the water connecting people and places led me to looking at sailors, and the space they were navigating to discover new beginnings.” You spot it in the knotted fastenings that replace traditional buttons and the metal eyelets puncturing the knitwear like hardware on a hull. He has even introduced a mix of sailor and mandarin collars, blending naval tradition... Read more » The post ferragamo | the pre-autumn 2026 collection appeared first on Schön! Magazine.

profiles | foli creppy
For Berlin-based visual storyteller Foli Creppy, music plays a different but equally essential role. Born in Benin and shaped by movement, rhythm, and image, his creative process lives somewhere between control and surrender. “When I’m in a flow state, I don’t feel like I’m directing anymore,” he says for Schön!’s profile series. “I feel like a vessel — like being on a dance floor.” It’s one of the few moments where he feels completely free. That openness is deeply personal. After initiation with the babalawos in Benin, Foli received the name Deze, a name that reflects who he is at his core. It’s a reminder that identity isn’t fixed, but carried, learned, and embodied over time. Berlin’s creative scene, he says, is strange, ambitious, and full of characters; a place where contrasts coexist. For Foli, every culture holds something to learn from, something you can move with rather than against. He’s not trying to fit a mold, only to show up as himself. Music, in particular, grounds him. Marshall’s Major V headphones allow him to remain immersed, focused, and connected to the sound while navigating the city. Whether walking, observing, or creating, they offer a private space where ideas can form and flow uninterrupted.... Read more » The post profiles | foli creppy appeared first on Schön! Magazine.

adam pendleton | ‘who owns geometry anyway?’
It is a bit of a cheek to ask who owns a circle, isn’t it? But for Adam Pendleton – the man currently occupying the high altar of American abstraction – it’s the only question worth asking. If you’ve spent any time in the world’s major galleries lately, you’ll know Pendleton as the architect of ‘Black Dada,’ a conceptual whirlwind of monochrome spray paint and layered history. Today marks the final curtain call for ‘Who Owns Geometry Anyway?’ at Friedman Benda gallery in New York. Since opening its doors on 7 November, this exhibition has seen Pendleton swap the frantic, spray-painted energy of his canvases for materials with significantly more gravity. Speaking to the press, Pendleton revealed: “What is exciting and interesting about this exhibition is that the works being shown are ideas I had for a very long time, but had never given myself the agency to execute.” Ranging from marble and onyx to granite and wood, these materials are transposed into what the gallery politely calls “functional forms,” though they feel more like altars than coffee tables. Take the aptly named ‘Boulder,’ a two-part marble work that doubles as a seat and a permanent tectonic shift. This is... fendi x emily in paris | the season 5 capsule collection
Emily Cooper has officially traded her croissants for carbonara and Fendi is making sure her Roman holiday looks the part. To mark the arrival of Season 5 of ‘Emily in Paris’ on Netflix today, the Roman house has dropped a special capsule collection that essentially captures Emily’s pivot from Parisian chic to Italian maximalism. If you thought Emily’s wardrobe was already dialled up to eleven, wait until you see her navigating Rome with a mint-green tapestry Baguette in tow. It is the ultimate main character accessory, and while her postcode has changed, that “It’s not a bag, it’s a Baguette” energy remains entirely undefeated. This is the fashion crossover for a show that half the internet claims to hate-watch while secretly scouring the frames for outfit inspiration. The collection focuses on three of Fendi’s most sacred and iconic shapes, specifically two Baguettes and one Peekaboo bag, all reinterpreted through the House’s codes. The standout feature is a tapestry-effect fabric that introduces the Fendi Dots motif, a clever hybrid of the iconic FF logo and Art Deco polka dots. The colour palette is delightfully clashing, featuring colour-block combinations like a soft brown paired with candy pink or a sophisticated... dior | pre-autumn 2026
When Jonathan Anderson made his debut at Dior earlier this year, his mission to dismantle a heritage house that has religiously guarded its codes was never clearer. For Pre-Autumn 2026, the British Designer of the Year deepens this recoding, pivoting from the conceptual armour of his first outing toward a wardrobe built for an expansive cast of characters. By taking the Maison’s sacred, often rigid motifs and quite literally crushing them with a sense of normality, Anderson has arrived at a decisive silhouette that feels remarkably alive. The focal point remains the Bar jacket, but it has been stripped of its mid-century rigidity. Anderson isn’t interested in the waist-nipping ghost of 1947. Instead, he treats the Bar jacket as a shape-shifter: sometimes shrunken and soft, other times dramatically enlarged into an enveloping coat that carries the weight of a security blanket. There’s a clever interplay between the Dior we’ve grown accustomed to and Anderson’s more relaxed vision, most notably in the wide silk denim trousers. Cut with the volume of a pleated skirt but rendered in ultra-lightweight silk denim, they possess a liquid-like drape that makes a utilitarian staple feel like pure couture. The ‘sideways explosions’ on the sculptural... Read more » The post dior | pre-autumn 2026 appeared first on Schön! Magazine.

casablanca | the resort 26 collection
Casablanca has always had a soft spot for escapism, but for Resort 2026, the fantasy feels a little closer to home. This season, Charaf Tajer turns his gaze to Los Angeles, a city that has long hovered in the brand’s orbit and now feels especially personal following the opening of their first US flagship on Santa Monica Boulevard. Photographed by Corentin Leroux, the campaign leans into a much moodier, more intimate side of LA than we’re used to seeing. Using the legendary Sheats-Goldstein Residence as a playground, the John Lautner-designed landmark provides a properly cinematic backdrop, with its sharp modernist lines and dramatic views softened by a very un-Californian bout of rain. The whole atmosphere reminds of a high-end 70s penthouse scene, just without any of the tacky interiors or questionable carpet choices. British model and actress Iris Law leads the cast, drifting through the house as if caught mid-moment. Law feels like a natural Casablanca muse, embodying a kind of undone nonchalance as she lounges on sofas, snacks in the kitchen and gazes out over the Beverly Hills valley. The clothes follow suit with a palette of pastels offset by deeper hits of oxblood and royal navy, giving... Read more » The post casablanca | the resort 26 collection appeared first on Schön! even realities | the g2 display smart glasses and r1 smart ring
Finally, it seems someone has realised that the future of eyewear shouldn’t involve strapping a computer the size of a brick to your face. Even Realities has just dropped their latest creations, the G2 Display Smart Glasses and the R1 Smart Ring, and they are a breath of fresh air for anyone tired of tech that screams for attention. The brand is doubling down on their ‘quiet tech’ philosophy, essentially promising superpowers that disappear the moment you don’t need them, leaving you to look like a functioning human being rather than a cyborg. “With G2 and R1, we’ve created devices that disappear into your daily life, while delivering the most advanced intelligence ever seen in the industry,” says Will Wang, Founder and CEO of Even Realities. “We wanted to embed in Even G2 a series of features that can truly make the day-to-day of high-achieving individuals better, not busier.” The core team is an impressive blend of experts snatched from tech heavyweights like Apple, Samsung and Philips, combined with specialists from high-end eyewear names such as Mykita and Lindberg. They launched their first-generation product, the G1, with the mission of creating smart glasses that actually prioritise wearability and style over... messika | the 20th anniversary holiday campaign with kate moss
If there’s one brand that knows how to throw a birthday bash, it’s Messika. For its 20th anniversary, the Parisian high jewellery house is inviting us all to a very chic, very purple 1970s house party fronted by legendary supermodel Kate Moss among others. To cap off a year of celebrations, founder Valérie Messika has turned the festive season into a cinematic nod to the decade that defined her childhood and her family’s diamond legacy. She describes this campaign as a “moment of gratitude,” but for the rest of us, it looks like the ultimate holiday inspiration. Captured by the brilliant duo of Ezra Petronio and Oliver Hadlee Pearch, the holiday campaign feels intimate, but energetic and undeniably cool. The setting is a dreamscape of a Parisian artist’s apartment, washed in the brand’s signature electric purple. Moss had previously collaborated on her own High Jewellery line with Messika, so her return here feels like a homecoming. “Kate has always been an inspiration, she is a real muse for me. Her elegance feels instinctive and her spirit is fearless,” says Messika. “She embodies everything I admire in a woman. At this memorable milestone celebrating twenty years of the Maison,... nude project x playboy | the gift of playboy collection
Nude Project is closing out the year with its most confident Playboy chapter yet. Titled ‘The Gift of Playboy,’ the latest collaboration from the Barcelona-born label marks the third time they’ve jumped into bed with the iconic American brand, and the timing couldn’t be better, landing just as Nude Project steps into a massive new phase of its international expansion. Started back in 2019 by Bruno Casanovas and Alex Benlloch, Nude Project has gone from a little Spanish streetwear start-up to a fully-fledged cultural force. They’re known for their sharp graphics, fantastic community-led approach and an instinctive, almost cheeky understanding of how Gen Z actually shops, dresses and spends their money. Operating under the slogan “By Artists, For Artists,” they’ve always positioned themselves as a creative platform first and a fashion label second. That clever mindset carries straight through ‘The Gift of Playboy,’ which reworks the familiar Bunny iconography through Nude Project’s own unique urban lens. Following the success of the debut capsule, ‘Heroes of Pleasure’ (2023), and the second release, ‘Playboy Part II’ (2024), both brands have built a shared aesthetic that perfectly balances the editorial with the accessible. This time, the focus is squarely on winter as something... Read more » The post nude project x playboy | the gift of playboy collection appeared first on Schön! Magazine.

louis vuitton | chase infiniti is the new house ambassador
Nicolas Ghesquière is finally adding a new muse to the Louis Vuitton family. American actress Chase Infiniti has just been announced as its newest House Ambassador, after soft-launching their relationship for the past 18 months on red carpets from Mexico City to Paris. This is a huge moment for the actress, marking her first major ambassadorship with a heritage luxury brand just as her career goes supernova. Infiniti is quickly becoming one of cinema’s most compelling figures. Following her breakout turn as the daughter in David E. Kelley’s ‘Presumed Innocent,’ her performance in Paul Thomas Anderson’s critically adored film, ‘One Battle After Another,’ has turned her into a legitimate star. The film is currently sweeping the boards, and Infiniti is right at the centre of the storm with fresh Golden Globe and Critics’ Choice nominations under her belt. If that wasn’t enough cultural cachet, she’s also been cast as Agnes (the grown-up Hannah) in the massive ‘Handmaid’s Tale’ sequel, ‘The Testaments.’ Ghesquière, the Artistic Director of Women’s Collections, has been cultivating their bond since 2024. Chase Infiniti was a key, highly photographed presence at his last two shows, but the most fun part of their budding relationship is probably... f. a. porsche 90th anniversary | porsche design limited editions
Ferdinand Alexander Porsche was the kind of visionary who believed that if you truly understood an object’s function, its shape would eventually reveal itself. It is a philosophy that gave us the legendary Porsche 911 and, later, the world’s first matte black watch. To celebrate what would have been his 90th birthday, Porsche and Porsche Design are leaning into that uncompromising minimalism with a hyper-exclusive collection of pieces that feels like a private peek into the founder’s personal archives. The centrepiece is the 911 GT3 90 F. A. Porsche, a bespoke sports car limited to just 90 units. Based on the GT3 with the Touring Package, it is a direct homage to the G-Series 911 that F. A. Porsche actually drove in the 1980s. It is finished in a stunningly specific F. A. Green Metallic (his personal signature colour) and features a grid-weave pattern on the seats that mirrors the texture of his favourite jackets. Even the black Sport Classic wheels take their cues from the iconic Fuchs designs, proving that for Porsche, the past is always the best starting point for the future. Matching the car’s precision is a special anniversary edition of the Chronograph 1, a meticulous replica... lens and bristles | sophia bounou by daniel mercado
Daniel Mercado is a creative working across photography, film and art. Driven by “curiosity, movement and a love for story telling in all forms”, he aims to capture fleeting moments that “live between elegance, emotion and identity”. Born and raised in Harlem, with Brazilian and Puerto Rican roots, Mercado brings a rich cultural lens to everything he creates, and travels often, “seeking out the spaces where identity and feeling collide”. Using mostly acrylic pens and paint, French Moroccan artist Sophia Bounou creates works laden with patterns and characters, in both strong, saturated colour and more monochromatic palettes. She is inspired by Picasso, Modigliani, Basquiat and Miró. Here, Mercado captures Bounou in her New York studio and recounts the experience of watching an artist at work. “It was a quiet Thursday morning in Soho, the kind where the rain falls just enough to blur the skyline and the city feels like it’s holding its breath; the kind of weather that can weigh on you – unless you’re Sophia Bounou. Before I even reached the top floor, I heard her yell, ‘Sorry for the walk-up! It’s all the way on the third floor!’ She laughed and, at that moment, I knew this...
