My tiny food forest/ allotment is getting greener by the day 🌱❤️ things that I had deemed dead because of 2024, known as the year of the killer slugs, are now showing their tiny heads above the ground. Shows you how resilient nature is, doesn’t it!

This weekend was the first time I went back to work in my allotment. Together with one of my favorite little helpers I took out a lot of grass mostly, to prepare for some edible flowers and perennial veggies! Looking forward to a warm new season with few slugs! #letthesunshine #homegrownveggies

The first goodies are sprouting from the ground again. Free of charge and full of health benefits. A blood cleanser, a laxatives, anti-inflammatory, and so much more.

What some of you might not know yet, I wrote a book (in Dutch unfortunately for the non-Ritchie’s) and yesterday I did a book signing at the very first food forest shop of the NLs! Klein Stettyn in Oosterbeek! #ofjeboslust #foodfromtheforest #forestgardening

An update of my earlier post of what we did with the wet ground. We created a wadi. A place where the water will gather. Which will attract wildlife and makes for an interesting micro climate once the soil recovers and the wild herbs start to bloom! #permaculturedesign #foodforest #ecosystemrecovery

#hivemind we want to make a productive food forest in this part of the garden. It’s the Netherlands (temperate climate, with lots of rainy periods. As you can see, about half of the area remains very, very wet throughout the winter. Right now it’s very muddy. What would you do? #foodforest #mud

So it is time for my very first post on Bluesky. I am excited to try out this new platform. Share my work with you guys and interact with other nature loving folks. I will probably share my ongoing work as a #permaculture designer and #foodforest enthousiast here.
