So much this. The world sucks, and superheros are supposed to make it BETTER.
Watchemen was great for deconstructing the genre, but it sure as fuck wasn't a goddamn BLUEPRINT for how every superhero comic should be for the next 40 years!

ooh, I liked the two of her TOS novels I read when I was a kid a LOT. They really expanded Trek beyond the bridge crew and were concerned with people on the Lower Decks. "Battlestations!" and "Dreadnought!" if I recall correctly..

Goodness. I didn't realize Maine Coons took so long to reach full growth. I suppose it makes sense, being bigger and all... but she's already enormous!
