Science communication tramp. I’ve been an informal science educator and vaccine advocate long enough to know that anti-science is not partisan. People show us who they are by who they choose to represent them.

A favorite tactic to discredit #science is to try and drag it down as just another “belief” system.

So, I would take a minute during my demos to explain to my audiences the difference between gathering, evaluating and presenting evidence and “belief”, telling them how:

Another promised miracle falls flat. It’s enough to make me turn atheist…

5th times the charm?

So outta practice.

Watercolor of Beacon Rock near the Columbia River Gorge.

A monolithic batholith left over from some serious tectonic wet dreamz.

I’ve stated so many times that people like Dolly Parton, as well as Jimmy Carter, are why I’m not antitheist, even though I’m atheist.

I know there are good christians trying to live up to the teachings.

Also appreciated her guest appearance on The Orville.

Rocky didn’t, but as I did understand it, they had another octopus in the larger enclosure that escaped a couple of times.

That was before I began, though.

As long as these vile, unfit troglodytes on this caricature of a Cabinet are confident that enough Republicans will continue to goosestep behind Trump, they know there are no consequences to their absurd babbling and imbecilic deflections when Democrats ask legitimate questions about their actions.

Remembering Rocky, the little Pacific Ruby Octopus who was at the Padilla Bay aquarium when I first started volunteering there, last year.

I would feel so “blessed” and elated to have an owl outside our bedroom window.

Had been looking for over a year to see one again, despite hearing them in the woods nearby.

Then this Barred Owl just decided to nap in a tree right over our mailboxes, only a couple of days ago.

Such an amazing talent.

Happened to pull up a Chet Baker Radio mix on Spotify that includes Davis, Oscar Peterson and Bill Evans, about a week ago. It’s now our go-to when my wife and I are reading.

They just happen to also be a bunch of pedophiles.

4th grade teacher had a table in our classroom with over a dozen of these. They were my introduction to a lot of classic literature.

Especially Wells, Dumas and Verne.

Herb Alpert’s soundtrack was the only good thing about it.

The question came up at pub trivia, about a year ago: Who played Bond in the 1966(?) version of Casino Royale.

Guessing from the collective “WTF!!”, only a few of us in the entire bar had ever seen it.

That one sucked on a different level; at least they weren’t trying to be serious.
And they even made a jab at the CBS version with Woody Allan playing “Jimmy”, the American nephew of Niven’s Bond.

Millie insisted on getting a pic with her favorite silent film star.
(Further proof of how intelligent Goldens can be)

Hoping that murals like this will pique curiosity and further increase this resurgence in popularity of these wonderful films.

Our entire current Executive Branch would be considered too “over-the-top” for even James Bond parodies like Austin Powers

Oh, dear god. That’s the horrible CBS Playhouse version with Barry Nelson as “Jimmy Bond.”

Even Lazenby wasn’t that bad.
