Okay, yes it’s April Fool’s Day, but no joke, my local library let me renew “The Work of Art” by Adam Moss 22 times and I FINALLY FINISHED IT. Libraries are the best. 🥰

The book was so good too.

Happy Imbolc/Saint Brigid’s Day! Even though I’m a few generations removed from Ireland the weather felt like a true turning towards spring today and a perfect time to get some fresh flowers.

It’s finally snowing in Tulsa! When I was a kid growing up in Albuquerque I used to dream of living someplace where there would be snow all winter. For a while I lived my dream in St. Paul, MN. I savored each frosty, snowy day there.

Every winter I still dream about snow.

Ulysses got a dog jacket for Christmas. Today it was cold enough that the kids put it on him to go outside. He came back in and decided that he would like to keep wearing it until the freezing weather leaves thank you very much.

The birds didn’t use the cute wreath-shaped feeder at all, but our backyard chonky squirrel is making sure nothing goes to waste!

The exhibit goes above and beyond to include women artists and Black artists who have not gotten the recognition they should receive, including those artists who painted very early in the formation of the country.

I’ll be thinking about this exhibit for a loooong time to come.

The latest special exhibit at Philbrook Museum of Art is 100% worth the visit. It poses the question “What was the true American identity in the early years of our country and what is our identity in the current age?”

One of my kids was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes last month. Halloween was a challenge. Now as we approach Thanksgiving and Christmas we are needing to rethink what meals will look like at family gatherings.
