Community colleges are untapped engines for economic mobility: they provide access to learning, jobs, and opportunities to those who are otherwise left out.

The surprise $5M gift to some St. Charles Community Colleges is worth more than its monetary value.

Project development barriers slow clean energy deployment. Political barriers grind it to a screeching halt.

To address the climate crisis, rein in utility bills, and deliver on clean energy, we need to first address those barriers.

Satellite imagery has long served as a tool for observing on-the-ground activity worldwide, especially when it comes to nuclear technology.

Here's how experts like Christina Krawec and @mknight.bsky.social assess and analyze imagery, using China's CFR-600 as a case study.

"The fixes are as apparent as the problems are abhorrent: any organ contractor who has abused the public trust, either through harming patients and misleading families, or misusing its tax status and taxpayer dollars must be immediately replaced, and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."
December 2, 2025 at 6:39 PM
"IRS 990s show OPOs have transferred more than half a billion dollars to ‘related organizations’ where uses of taxpayer funds get pushed even further into the shadows."
December 2, 2025 at 6:39 PM
"The line between organ donation and organ harvesting is consent. No family would consent to a loved one being wheeled into an OR to have their organs removed, when they could survive their injuries. Yet this is what is happening across the country."
December 2, 2025 at 6:39 PM
"We are in the midst of a national organ harvesting crisis, and corruption within OPOs is the problem."
December 2, 2025 at 6:39 PM
"Americans are generous people, overwhelmingly supportive of the selfless act of organ donation. But as explosive whistleblower accounts and investigative reporting have laid bare, many OPOs are abusing this sacred trust."

"I am testifying today in honor of my father, Commander Donald Erickson of the United States Navy.

My father died of organ failure, the result of his military service in Vietnam. Chemical exposure claimed three of his organs forty years after the war ended. I was one of his caretakers."

"We are in the midst of a national organ harvesting crisis, and corruption within taxpayer-funded organ procurement organizations is the problem."

FAS Senior Fellow Jennifer Erickson just testified before Congress to hold corrupt OPOs accountable. Here's (just some of) what she told them 🧵👇

The good news: the vast majority of the 100,000s of datasets produced by the federal government are still alive, and have so far escaped mutilation or termination.

The bad news: all federal datasets are currently at risk of death by a thousand cuts.
