“One gets such wholesale returns of conjecture out of such a trifling investment of fact." - Mark Twain
Amazing the average still isn’t below 40.

You’re inherently valuing dishonesty by pushing for change based on temporary lie based boosts.

Does everyone follow politics closely to know every issue intimately? No, of course not. Will people start to pay attention and notice big lies once issues start to affect them? Of course.

Maybe he’s saying some generic conservative and not him. But he’s not pushing back he’s expanding her argument past the point she took it to say not only are men more important if there rocket scientists but capitalism in general necessitates a male energy of telling newborns and new moms to F off

Leah tried to make a point that some jobs don’t have room for kids (rockets exploding) and he tries to expand that argument beyond that to car dealerships, or that’s what it sounds like to me since he invokes conservatives in general. And that paternity leaves endangers competitiveness.

Of course there’s real financial concerns in people taking leaves of absence and still needing payment. But I think it’s a bit silly to suggest men are all on some time crunch and about to launch a rocket so can’t take off or that they don’t benefit a lot from paternity leave.

There was no rocket to the moon that was dependent on him. Something that rarely happens. We want to pretend the world will stop if we pause work for a month, it won’t. He has a plenty important job but he was able to take more time off at other places and it was fine and better for everyone

Ellis rejects the DOJ's argument that plaintiffs are not protected by the First Amendment because they've "intermingled themselves with rioters."

"The unlawful activity by a few protesters does not transform a peaceful assembly into an unlawful assembly," Ellis says

Name a problem that people can see is real…..we have no guaranteed paid maternity leave and then be real squirmy of what the solution to that is. Problem is if it’s paid leave, democrats have fought for that, which leaves the question, what’s her actual solution if she’s claiming that’s not good.
