They think we'll fold. They're wrong.
As a foreigner it's so hard to believe that, though I can appreciate your dilemma. We have no confidence you will get back to normal and are terrified of being attacked by your brainwashed troops and insane leadership. From the outside it appears there is nothing you can do to stop this.

Canadian here. Goes double for us. It has fundamentally changed how we view Americans and the US for generations. You are no longer even remotely our ally. We also have generations of American condescension and "exceptionalism" to stomach.
