4/6 We deserve to be served by someone who will deliver on affordability, build community, promote good stewardship of our lands and waters, and empower people in Livingston, Ontario, Wayne, and Monroe Counties.

3/6 It’s building on the work that I continue to do every year, showing that our region deserves more than someone taking space in the state legislature and cheering anti-American MAGA policies and trying to jail more people than ensure that people can live freely and succeed here.

2/6 Those are the kinds of gains that we’ve been making in the Finger Lakes, particularly the 54th State Senate district.

As I’ve said before, the most efficient and effective manner for us to help our neighbors with regards to food is through programs like SNAP. The NPOs helping out are appreciated, but to really ensure people don’t go hungry, we’re better off with a system that everyone can access

We can do much better than what this regime is doing. Our people deserve better.

I urge you to help as you can. The best help you can offer is a monetary donation to organizations like Foodlink or your local food cupboards as they have better buying power for the food they distribute, but a donation of food, hygiene items, or cookware is appreciated as well.

There are many of us, recognizing the threat to many families in the Finger Lakes, working to get food to those in need by working with local food pantries, cupboards, and food stands.

For those wondering, ensuring a basic need like food security is met would fall under “promote the General Welfare” in the Preamble to the US Constitution and as a general moral imperative for a responsible government.

I am glad that we are keeping the energy up. We are going to need it if we are to get the better tomorrow we deserve.
