It’s actually worse. Cops do this all the time and there’s no consequences. Not having a record of something like a grand jury indictment could lead to a dismissal. Turned off body worn is never grounds for dismissal outright.

As a public defender, it's insane to see the rulings judges will grant for defense attorneys who are defending cops. There is no way a judge would have ruled the same way if it was MY client trying to keep this video out at trial. This evidence is totally coming in UNLESS the defendant is a cop.
