I paid $9.50 for a 12 pack of coke yesterday. Its the first time all year I have bought one. Been working hard and decided it was a nice holiday season splurge.

Btw you are in denial if you believe encampments are not dangerous for everyone involved or believe they are somehow a viable alternative. They can not and should not exist. Political solutions are never going to solve all the issues but attempts have to be made for those who seek help.

Anecdotal evidence is fine but the data doesn’t support the claim that Newsome made homelessness “significantly worse”.
I agree that its a huge issue. I just believe there is a lot of misinformation, misconceptions and misguided blame thrown around.

There is no evidence that its gotten “significantly worse”. Its a major problem everywhere but that characterization is not supported by data.

Check your facts. not every1 is going to end up housed in sweeps its fact that California offered various forms of housing to those displaced. Look it up.

What exactly are communities and governments supposed to do about homeless encampments? They are dangerous AF for all parties involved. The goal for Newsome et al was clearly to get as many as possible into safe housing. No plan is perfect but just letting these camps fester is not humane or safe.
