Instead of hiding it from kids they need to sit them down and explain to them why this is a problem. A history lesson would also probably help as well. You can't just sweep something like this under a rug. Eventually they will get to people's kids.

It took me 10 years and a lawyer. My son is disabled and has been since birth. It was easier for him to get it when he was little but they still needed him to come in at 18 and make sure he was disabled. Since the qualifications are different for adults.

I'm not allergic but people should be more sympathetic to people who are. When I was in middle school. I went to a sleep over and witness a friend had a instance allergic reaction to the cat that was there. She didn't touch the cat but was in the same room. It was scary.
