Another class gig from The Dirt at The Grayston Unity in Halifax.

Love it when a band knows how to get the crowd riled up!

More from my wandering around Elland, documenting the less-explored parts of the town.

More gigs over the weekend.

Here's a few of Dirty Circus at the Golden Lion in Todmorden. Great night, amazing band.

One from the Cardinals gig at The Trades Club at Hebden Bridge. Love this shot!

I've moved into more abstract work when shooting gigs - maybe because I can't shoot good stills - I want to give a feeling rather than just a document.

Great video. Absolutely love Al's work, there's something about it you can't put your finger on but it's really affecting.
Today's episode is with photographer Al Brydon who talks about his original and unique approach to landscape photography. I've long been a fan of Al's work and had a great time talking to him and hearing about his projects. youtu.be/NQgwwt7RdzQ

I've been walking around the area where I work during lunch. I dunno, I feel like there could be something in this.

Elland is a place going through a lot of change and it feels important to document how it is at the moment.

It's always fun shooting gigs. You never know what you're going to have to work with.

Anyway, here's a series of red photos, because that was the only light.

What do you reckon?

The band didn't want any front lighting... Silhouettes it is then!

Just started scanning my film. Why did no one tell me it would take so long?

Answer: They did, I just didn't listen... And I love it!

What do you do when the only location you and the band can think of is a caravan?

Lean into the daftness...

I've been trying something new when shooting gigs.

Slower shutter speeds, showing the movement and energy of the gig, still a work in progress but it's getting there... probably.
