My mother’s father. He was injured, losing partial vision in one eye after getting a spur in it after tripping over a tent line and falling into his friend, who was just ahead.
He later tried to enlist into the Second World War, but his employer refused.
He died in 1954 of a heart attack at 60.

Huh. As best as I can figure out, posting a screen-cap of two phishing bots and suggesting that everyone block and report them is, itself, a suspendible offence on Threads.
