Essentially, the online shopping/pick-up trend has negative consequences for employees and consumers, and companies are also seeking to use facial recognition technology to drive dynamic pricing and increase profits.
You hear people say social media makes us less social by creating an echo chamber of likeminded people, but I find the opposite: listening to family and friends deny science, disparage human beings, and defend fascism makes me want to be far less sociable.
