The #GreatScottishSquirrelSurvey gives us a really important snapshot of red and grey squirrel distribution across the country. Last year over 1,800 people took part, recording more than 2,500 squirrels in just one week! Can we beat that this year?

Volunteer needed to help out with surveying in the Letham/Forfar area!

The role involves around 2-3 hours of monitoring per fortnight, covering 5 feederboxes. You would need to be able to drive between the sites. Email [email protected] for more.

Did you know, research has shown a link between pine marten presence and red squirrel population recovery, suggesting they take significantly more grey squirrels than reds as prey.
