Two of the three cheetah brothers that made a zebra kill. They were walking to some shade to cool off while the 3rd brother got his fill. They took turns at the meat, to get as much as they could before the other carnivores moved it.

I saw so many great scenes while I was in the Palouse region of eastern Washington state. I can't wait to come back in June to conduct a photo workshop here. www.scottshieldsphotoworkshops.com/2026-worksho...

I’m guessing that the WA-DOT placed this sign, just so.

A nice little sunset in the Palouse (eastern Washington State). These rolling hills are just lovely to see.

My photo workshop is set for June 2026 when the wheat and canola are in the fields. www.scottshieldsphotoworkshops.com/2026-worksho...

With all the rain we've had in Oregon, beautiful Multnomah Falls was really flowing.

The final sunset for the Oregon Coast photo workshop was bittersweet. It was the final workshop that I completed in lieu of Bryan Peterson. Many thanks to Lisa Phillips for helping me get started. And, of course, so many thanks to my wife, Pam for her support of my pursuit of this dream come true.

After 2 days of rain, this doesn’t suck. Ecola State Park, overlooking Cannon Beach in Oregon.

This past weekend, I completed my final photo workshop in lieu of Bryan Peterson, here in Oregon. I ran across this book by Bryan, published in 1984. I loved his photo of Heceta lighthouse in blue hour, which was shot on film or slides, and did my best to replicate it in the digital age.

The other half of that New York minute. A little earlier that the previous post. Showing the city that never sleeps, sleeping.

During the last day of the New York City workshop, we got to play with panning in the Times Square area. Sadly, this is the last place I saw Bryan Peterson. Happily, the skills he taught to me are being passed on to others.

Which one is your favorite?
