Not true. He knew it was happening (because he lead it). If he wanted to stop it, he could have gone on TV and named the traitorous 8 in advance and asked their voters to call them. @schumer.senate.gov lead the whole thing. The 8 traitors worked with him on it (one even said on TV she kept him in the loop). He didn't try to stop it. In fact, he endorsed it. He knew he could because he knew the rest of the Dems would not remove him from leadership. No one has challenged him.

Anything short of a Democratic senator saying he or she is running to replace Schumer now is performative. He would not have done this if he didn't know he had the votes to stay. Every Democrat in the Senat is complicit until they remove Schumer.

Call for @schumer.senate.gov to step down and run for his leadership position. Anything less is just useless noise because Chuck would not have pulled this move unless he knew he had the support of your caucus to do it.
