Putting this out there again, in the hopes someone can help... does anyone have need of a copy editor / proof reader, or (ideally) anyone in need of astronomical content?

Work has been light recently... and I'm trying to look for more...

US folks: After the program ended a couple months ago, you can now get free Covid-19 tests from the US government again, by way of the post office.

This here really illustrates how much about the world (or maybe just the Internet) sucks these days. I'm a big beer fan. I've logged nearly 1000 distinct beers on Untappd. In 2022, I tried 56 different styles of beer this year, which is six more than last year. Yet, I need (1/2)

Speaking of the #Moon moving from night to night, tonight we'll see the Moon has moved eastward and is now about halfway between two bright stars: Orange-red #Betelgeuse in #Orion the hunter and golden yellow #Capella in #Auriga, the charioteer.

This is about smack in the (1/2)

A friend asked what the big deal of last night's #Moon-#Mars dance was. One thing is it gave us a chance to actually see the Moon moving along in its orbit. It's usually just "Yep, there's the Moon" and then the next night it's moved to another part of the sky. But here (1/2)

If, though, your skies are clear. #LookUp and find the full-ish #Moon. It'll be right alongside the planet #Mars: the "Infested with Robots" one. When I say "right alongside," I mean it.

What's that? Can't find Mars? That's because in some parts of North Africa, Europe, (1/2)

Another cool space thing, another cool space thing clouded out. The astronomers and meteorologists really need to start scheduling their things differently.

NASA's #Artemis-I, launch got me thinking about #Mars and the #Apollo missions. Here's my new article for @ExaminerMedia. This month, we talk about Artemis, Apollo, and looking into our own future. I hope you like it.

Thanksgiving can be tough. But! We can watch #Orion join the night outside while the chaos and mayhem go on inside.

Here's an article I did for @skyatnightmag a while back. I hope you like and #LookUp this week! Happy #Thanksgiving, everyone!

Hey @pandoramusic Is there any way on the Web app to turn off the pop-up message that asks about showing me how to turn on auto-play? I turned auto-play off because I don't like it, and I really would like you to trust me on this.

Been thinking (obsessing) about Dr. Wet-Blanket saying people wouldn't notice a #LunarEclipse if they didn't know it's happening. Solar eclipses are so bright, all I've seen have been pretty unnoticeable until totality (I assume), and totality's in a tiny little band.Quit hating!

I watched the #LunarEclipse at around 5am (US Eastern) as it slipped into totality, and then for a few minutes afterward. It was absolutely stunning.

To illustrate how amazing lunar eclipses are, it was a deep, impenetrable red as it neared totality.

Tonight! The #Moon's riding the sky with #Jupiter. Remember J00ps is about 625 million km/400 million miles away, far behind the Moon, not next to it. If you have a pair of binoculars, you can even see its four giant moons. That's 5 of the solar system's 6 biggest moons! #lookUp

A MAGA guy I know was echoing RW points re the Paul Pelosi attack.

I asked "Isn't violence wrong, no matter who does it?"

"But Democrats..."

"Doesn't matter. Is violence right or wrong? Shouldn't MAGA mean holding yourself to a higher standard than non-MAGA?"

You know how the #Moon looks enormous as it rises? The same illusion hits us with other sky things, too! This week, look how big the #Pleiades and V-shaped #Hyades clusters look as they pop above the rooftops at mid-evening. Next week, the near-full Moon joins the fun! #lookup

There'll be a #LunarEclipse on November 8! Here's my latest article for The Examiner News, where we talk about why they're great and why you should take a look if your skies cooperate. I hope you'll give it a read. Thanks, @ExaminerMedia!

Lunar Eclipses Are Certainly Spectacular. Just Look for Yourself | The Examiner News
Earlier this year a famous astronomy communicator, who sometimes has a reputation for being a wet blanket, shook the conversation up by saying he felt lunar eclipses were “un-spectacular” and not something most people would notice.

I love the NE corner of the sky this time of year. It's not angular and tidy, like winter's, but garbled and messy, like life, with abstract tangles of stars scattered like Legos across the night. Tonight, let's start with Cassiopeia's W and let our mind go where it wants. #space

Hey @dunkindonuts How come you have no way of canceling an order that make through the app by mistake? That seems really... bad... don't you think? Could I get a little help, a little customer service? Your phone person was really unkind.
