I'm hearing both that layoffs are at a 5-year high and jobless claims are at a 3-year low. What is the best employment metric for economic health and should we even trust BLS numbers anymore given that bad numbers are a fireable offense?

We real need the next Dem nominee to be an anti-trump. As unlawful as he is but in the opposite direction. Every time we counter a crazy republican with a moderate dem it pulls the country further to the right, which at the moment is synonymous with ignorance, bigotry, corruption and treason.

The bullpen gave up 3 runs in 3 innings though. If they had even kept it 2-1 it could have changed the approach with the bases loaded.
Silver lining for NY though - Bello has struggled recently and the Sox 3rd starter appears to be a September call up. It's far from over.

Seems a bit cherry-picked. As a team Boston has the 4th best OPS vs lefties and 5th best vs righties in the AL. They have the best starter and best reliever in the series and they own the Yankees this year. There's no reason to be pessimistic about this series.

The Sox are in an interesting position - they will most likely face either the Yankees or Jays on the road Tuesday, but they have the luxury of resting while the teams ahead of them play two more very meaningful games.
