Some good has come out of an otherwise pretty rubbish day. I’ve managed to get multichannel audio from external sources passed through a switch to our surround sound system that our ageing TV isn’t capable of doing.

Now I’ve got an export of my tweets and bookmarks from Twitter/X I’m going through the process of zeroing my account. Unfollowing everyone, deleting likes/favourites, direct messages, and all my tweets.

It’s taken some fettling, but finally I have a publishing workflow I’m happy with. Mastodon posts, or toots (to use the correct nomenclature), are published on scottmallinson.com alongside standard blog articles. Next step is to get Bluesky in the mix…

Have I finally managed to set my website up as a fediverse entity?!

I’ve been trying to get Mastodon to play nicely with scottmallinson.com since Automattic bought the ActivityPub WordPress plugin, but I’m not having much luck. And to make things more challenging, IndieWeb/Fediverse components need testing in live environments.
