China and South Korea aren’t doing great, but it’s still going to clear $600 million and be a success for WB.
Its worst case scenario is $550 million (which is breaking even) but an A- Cinemascore pretty much guarantees that won’t happen.
Pretty much every pundit is calling it a success.

Again, your expectations for what this needs to make to be a success are pretty off. 600 million is not the break even point.

Not sure how you got to “the numbers are way too bad”. That’s a big stretch if you understand how big studio movies become successful.
This movie needed a solid opening weekend, it clearly just had that. Now it’s all up to successive weekends and word of mouth and the indicators there look good

It does look like Jurassic World stole some thunder from Superman internationally. That being said, this is still in the middle of what the projections for opening weekend were and those projections were high.
It will ultimately come down to what the drop off looks like the next couple weekends.

That may be true but the Epstein stuff is much more likely to break the MAGA coalition than immigration and breaking that coalition is necessary to win the midterms.
It may seem cynical but taking back congress is how we stop much of Trumps insanity, including his immigration Gestapo.
